The Batman’s Co-Writer Says the October Release ‘Suits the Mood’

This morning Warner Brothers officially pushed back The Batman from June 2021 to October 2021 due to the filming delays caused by the Coronavirus Pandemic. Now the co-writer of the film has commented on the new date, and it might confirm some rumors about the inspiration for the movie.

Mattson Tomlin Tweeted that the October release for the Batman movie “suits the mood” of the film:

It’s been believed by many that The Batman is very inspired by the classic Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale Batman story “The Long Halloween”, due to the number of villains that’ll be in the movie. Tomlin’s Tweet seems to hint towards that.
